The Poll results for top Kodi add-ons in April have Exodus as the clear winner.
Exodus is currently the top voted Kodi add-on. Unless something drastic changes this will likely stay the same for the foreseeable future.

Exodus
Lambda the creator of Genesis has updated the code and called it Exodus.
This is currently the most popular add-on and works very well.
Unlike the previous Genesis version there is no Favorites folder which is a minor setback for such a great add-on.

Phoenix
Phoenix is mainly used for live streams but has a lot of of other content including TV shows and movies.
The streams available have everything from sports to cartoons.

Genesis
Genesis is the original add-on coded by Lambda which quickly became a fan favorite.
Genesis plays old and new movies along with old and new TV shows. It has a nice user interface with show descriptions and covers.
The code hasn’t been updated in a while. There are new add-on projects called Exodus and Spectro that are updating the old code.
Even though the code has not been updated in a while and some functions have began to break down it still does work.

1Channel
1Channel has been around awhile and is still going strong. It is a good companion to Genesis and both can play the same content.
1Channel has a straight to the point interface with less show or movie information. It is still one of the best add-ons to have.

Specto Fork
Specto Fork is a project started to update the code with Genesis.
Since the code is based on Genesis it has the same user interface.

SALTS
SALTS (Stream All The Sources) is a interesting add-on as it is trying to solve the problem of unreliable sources.
It has an option for using paid services called Real Debrid Accounts that are supposed to help stream better video sources.
There is a free option in SALTS so the paid services are not required.

SportsDevil
SportsDevil as its name suggest is mainly for sports but also has a wide variety of other channels.
Its best feature is many of the streams play live streams from the Cartoon Network to Fox News.
The live streams are a bit of a hit or miss if they work depending on how many others are trying to stream at the same time.

Navi-X
Navi-X is the oldest working add-on when it comes to Kodi. It was around when Kodi was still on the Xbox and called XBMC.
It is basically a barrage of channels by individuals sharing their favorite content.

M4U is a video add-on from Mucky Duck. It has both movies and TV shows.
